Contest runs May 1ST Thru May 31st. Door prizes, and raffle drawings at the dinner.
Youths 12-15 Early Youth Hunt 4/23-24 can enter a bird, must be signed up by 4/22

GENERAL CONTEST RULES:

· Birds must be field dressed and intact, weigh in at the spinning wheel to be eligible. (Nearest ounce)
· Beard measured from longest strand, multiple beards -longest beard used (typical categories)
· Longest spur measured from base of spur. (Nearest 1/16thfor both spurs and beard).
· In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by a drawing.
· All entries must be legally taken and tagged in New York State by rules of fair chase, in accordance to NYDEC
  regulations, and comply with federal/state/local laws.

 · Entries will be disqualified if determined to be in violation of rules of fair chase, regulations, etc.
· Judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry. All decisions by the judges are final.
· All entrants must be entered on or before April 30, 2005

 

NWTF TOTAL SCORE CATEGORY RULES:
· Must be a NWTF member (as of 4/30/2005) to be eligible for NWTF category.
· Scoring in accordance with NWTF records system.
· Weight - same as general rules
· Beard - same as general rules (typical cat.), multiple beards are added for non-typical (nearest 1/16th).
· Spurs - same as general rules, multiple spurs (more than 2) are added for non-typical (nearest 1/16th).
· Score = weight + 2x total beard length + 10x lengths of both spurs. Fractions converted to decimal in final score.
  Example: 21lbs, 10-1/4” beard, 1-1/4” & 1-1/8” spurs (21) + (20.50) + (23.250)= 65.750
· Birds weighing more than 22lbs, beards >10”, or spurs >1 ½” call 607-753-8420 (required for records submission)
